ציפורה נויפלד למדה במחלקה לאדריכלות, אישה יחידה בין סטודנטים ומרצים גברים. האוצרת סיגל דוידי מצאה, במסגרת מחקר היסטורי שערכה, את יומנה האישי של נויפלד, שכותבת על קשיי הקליטה שלה כאשה יחידה בין גברים. "קיבלוני בלי בעיות בקשר למין", כתבה נויפלד ב-1924. "It is true that at the time the Technion building was being planned this was not accepted, because there was no trace of amenities for the ladies. I didn't even have a place to fix my hairstyle with the braid, and a few days later I had to get a haircut."
